Remove any refilled or remanufactured ink cartridges, or ink cartridges that have been used in another printer.Install genuine HP ink cartridges.

If you cannot select bidirectional support, contact the computer manufacturer to get the settings enabled in BIOS.

On the keyboard, press the Ctrl , Shift , and Esc keys at the same time to open the Task Manager , and then click the Processes tab. Select Show processes from all users . Under Image Name , make sure that the hpqtra08 and hpqste08 processes are running. If the processes are running, skip to Step two: Make sure that the HPZPML driver is running.
If the processes are not running, continue to the next step.Click the Windows icon ( ).In the Search text box, type misconfig , and then press Enter . The User Account Control window opens. Click Continue . The System Configuration Utility window opens. 
Click the Startup tab. Search the list of startup programs for the following Digital Imaging Monitor processes:hpqtra08.exe hpqste08.exe If the Digital Imaging Monitor processes are unlisted, click here to skip to Solution five in this document . Otherwise, continue to the next step. Make sure that the check boxes next to hpqtra08 and hpqste08 are checked. 
Click Yes to restart the computer. Repeat steps 4 to 10 to make sure the Digital Imaging Monitor processes are running. If the Digital Imaging Monitor processes are listed, continue to Step two: Make sure that the HPZPML driver is running.If the Digital Imaging Monitor processes are not running, click here to skip to Solution five in this document . 
Step two: Make sure that the HPZPML driver is running Click the Windows icon ( ).Click Control Panel Home to change the view, and then click System and Maintenance .Scroll down the window, and then click Administrative Tools . Double-click Services .On the User Account Control window, click Continue . Under Name , right-click HPZPML , and then click Start to start the service. If the HPZPML service is not listed, restart the computer, and then repeat steps 1 to 6. If the HPZPML service still is not listed, continue to Solution five: Uninstall and reinstall the software. If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

Solution five: Uninstall and reinstall the HP software
